Monifieth is a popular and bustling coastal town situated just 6 miles east of Dundee and ideal for family living. As well as a wide variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, it has a great fitness club, a beautiful sandy beach and two outstanding golf courses. Nearby Monikie Country Park has good watersports facilities, while Crombie Country Park is popular for walks and wildlife (including red squirrels).
There are two primary schools and a high school, a regular bus service to Broughty Ferry and Dundee, and nearby Balmossie Station is on the main Dundee-Aberdeen rail line.
