Lindsays and Miller Hendry have merged

We are delighted to announce that Lindsays and Miller Hendry have merged and would like to welcome all our new colleagues and clients to Lindsays.

In this merger, our biggest deal to date, we have expanded our work in key areas such as private client, family law, dispute resolution, commercial, rural and residential property as well as providing Miller Hendry’s clients with the wider range of legal services available at Lindsays.

The deal further strengthens our proposition in Tayside and adds offices in Perth and Crieff to our portfolio.

Miller Hendry’s partners and staff have joined their new teams at Lindsays and our firm now comprises 46 partners and almost 300 staff. Miller Hendry staff in Dundee are now based at Lindsays’ offices at Seabraes while those in Perth and Crieff remain in Blackfriars Street and Comrie Street.

Alasdair Cummings, Lindsays’ Managing Partner, said: “It’s a pleasure to continue our growth in Tayside and expand into Perthshire with this merger with Miller Hendry. Throughout our long history at Lindsays, we have adapted and evolved while remaining true to our core ethos - to provide expert, accessible and reliable lawyers supporting people with their personal, family and business affairs.”

Former Miller Hendry Chairman John Thom, who remains as a Perth-based Partner as part of the merger, said: “Becoming part of Lindsays marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for the team here. For our clients, this merger means they will benefit from a wider range of legal services, while still working with professionals they know and trust. Our staff, meanwhile, will now enjoy broader career options, while remaining part of a firm which retains a family feel.”

More people and more properties, in more places

Clients of Miller Hendry are used to having access to estate agency teams and conveyancing lawyers in Dundee, Perth and Crieff to help them move.  They now have even more property market experts in Tayside and Perthshire to help them buy or sell, along with additional residential expertise that can be called on in Lindsays Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.
